Be able to use the meltdown lifecycle and where intervention is most effective
Identify early physiological and emotional signs that precede meltdowns
Understand how the nervous system, heart, and brain interact under stress
Apply simple regulation strategies for themselves and their child
Recognize the importance of adult regulation during moments of duress
Use observation tools to begin shifting from reaction to prevention
Note - I do believe "Technology Meltdowns" are different and deserve a separate workshop.

Summary
NESST Solutions is an organization which provides education and events, support (tools), services and tutoring for neurodiverse children to teens. We include self-regulation because a dysregulated individual is not in the space for learning. We work with the families, teachers and schools to optimize the learning experience.

Hi, I’m Adrienne Furness, an educator, and I help parents, caregivers, teachers, educators and related professionals understanding of the biodynamics of a meltdown from research and evidence-based interventions.
I run courses and workshops to bring understanding, not just with this series of two workshops, but also a four series workshop Breaking through the Meltdown Maze. All my courses are designed to provide knowledge about those who are neurodiverse, particularly autistic, to assist in gaining control of meltdowns. I'm keen for mums to take care of themselves to avoid their own meltdowns. Armed with knowledge, strategies, tools and resources that parents, teachers and others will be able to see what stage their person is at through the meltdown lie cycle to avert or avoid a full-blown meltdown or even better be able to predict and quell it’s rise.
Note - I do believe "Technology Meltdowns" are different, but I shall talk to that in the workshops.
So, let’s get started!
